Jürg Klopp has said he would have preferred to have made the team of 2017, and he says he is not a fan of the current Liverpool side.
It’s an interesting debate and the reason why I say I would have liked to have gone, but I didn’t.
It was something that came up at some point.
It wasn’t like, ‘OK, you’re a manager who has a very good idea about the future.’
It’s more like, “I don’t know what to say.
Can I go for it?
That was the best possible outcome, but that’s a good thing.
The truth is that we don’t really have a manager that can change the future.
So it’s up to us as players to say, “OK, this is how we want to play and we’re going to have to play this way.”
That’s how we’re playing now.
That’s the way we’ve played in the last five years.
The fans who’ve come and watched us for years and years and have seen this team, they see this team as a very special team.
I think there’s a huge gap between the best team Liverpool has ever produced and this year.
You can say that’s one of the reasons why, even though we were not favourites, we were favourites.
But if we hadn’t won last year, there would have been a lot of questions about whether this was the right team.
And, yes, I think it was the team that had the best chance of winning last year.
I also think we had to win, and I think the team was a little bit better than the fans thought, even if we lost the game.
I think if we didn’t win, we would have looked like a little team who had to work for it, but we won.
And that’s what we did.
That was the most important thing for us.
