Porsche has announced the 997 GT3, the first 911 GT car to feature the Porsche Performance Package.
The car will be sold in a limited quantity of 5,000.
Porsche’s performance package consists of a carbon fiber front bumper, air intake, rear wing, front fender, front spoiler, rear fender and a new rear spoiler.
Porsche is also introducing an entirely new front fascia, which is said to feature carbon fiber with a gloss finish.
The package comes with new rear diffuser, carbon fiber wheel arches and a front and rear fog lamp.
A full color manual is also available.
The 997 is one of two 911s to feature a carbon-fiber front bumper and the first 997 to be offered in a Carbon-Fiber package.
The other 911 is the 993 Turbo, which was also offered in carbon fiber.
The 997’s front bumper is a carbon composite with an air intake and carbon fiber rear wing.
The Porsche Performance package is offered in six colors, including a gloss-finish black, gloss-polished grey, gloss white, gloss yellow, gloss black and gloss silver.
Porsche has also introduced a carbon and titanium-reinforced plastic front splitter for the rear of the car.
